Housing and Residence Life
One of the most challenging and growth-oriented experiences available to students is residential living. The University strives to provide a co-curricular environment that both supports and challenges students to reach their full potential. Understanding, mutual respect and openness to diversity fosters the development of a positive community.
In order to attain this goal, professional, graduate, and undergraduate staff in the Department of Housing and Residence Life are creating living and learning environments within University residence halls, suites, apartments, and houses. A student elected governance board or council represents residential students and assists the residence life staff in providing programmatic initiatives for each on-campus living area.
The University of Dayton offers housing for graduate and law students in three facilities (University Place Apartments, Plumwood Apartments, and Irving Commons Townhouses). Each building offers a mixture of apartment types including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Graduate and law students interested in University housing can apply online by visiting their student housing portal located at https://myhousing.udayton.edu.
