Medical care is available at the Student Health Center to all full-time and part-time undergraduate, graduate, law, PT and PA students. During the academic year, the Student Health Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, except University holidays. Summer hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday with limited physician hours. The Student Health Center is closed on Fridays during the summer.  Students should call the Student Health Center at (937) 229-3131 to schedule an appointment.  Students may cancel appointments through our portal at myhealth.udayton.edu. In case of emergency, call Public Safety at (937) 229-2121.

Starting in Fall 2026, a Health and Wellbeing charge will automatically be assessed to all undergraduates that started in Fall 2025 or later that are carrying 6 or more billable credit hours. Graduate and UDSA students will not be eligible for care at the Student Health Center unless they opt in to the voluntary charge. The Health and Wellbeing charge covers visits and point-of-care testing at the SHC as well as access to Counseling Center and RecPlex resources. UG students that matriculated before Fall 2025 may be seen at the Student Health Center and will still be assessed nominal charges for point of care testing. Charges for medicines dispensed, allergy injections, immunizations, laboratory tests, x-ray examinations, and miscellaneous medical equipment apply to ALL STUDENTS.

University Health Requirements:

Pre-admission physical examinations are not required, but students with chronic health problems are advised to have their treating provider send records or recommendations to the SHC or students may upload personal health information directly into their health record at myhealth.udayton.edu. Every student is required to have 2 MMR vaccines after 12 months of age or show evidence of immunity to measles, mumps and rubella.  Students living in on-campus housing also have specific requirements for meningitis and hepatitis B vaccines, specified by Ohio law.  Students are expected to upload their immunization history directly to the student portal at myhealth.udayton.edu.  All students are also required to fill out a tuberculosis screening questionnaire. Student After Hours Clinic:

The University of Dayton provides wrap-around care for students by partnering with Premier Health to offer medical services for students in the evenings and on weekends. The Student After Hours Clinic (SAHC) is located in the Premier Health building on Brown Street and is available for scheduled or walk-in appointments from 5-9pm weekdays and 9am-1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Additional charges may apply depending on testing performed and Health and Wellbeing charge payment status.
