Access to Other Resources

OhioLINK: The University of Dayton is a member of OhioLINK, a consortium of academic libraries at 87 Ohio institutions including the State Library of Ohio, providing access to approximately 38 million books and other library materials; more than 100 electronic research databases; 40 million electronic journal articles; 290,000 e-books; 84,000 images, videos, and sounds; and more than 145,000 theses and dissertations from Ohio students at 36 institutions (numbers current as of January 2026).

Interlibrary loan: For materials not available at the University of Dayton or through OhioLINK, faculty, staff, and registered students have access to interlibrary loan. Types of materials borrowed may include books; videos and DVDs; music CDs; copies and scans of journal, magazine, and newspaper articles; microfilms; and dissertations. 

Uncommon materials: Membership in the Center for Research Libraries (CRL) provides access to the CRL’s millions of resources that include global and regional newspapers spanning centuries and continents; international doctoral dissertations and theses; government documents and archives from around the world; and digitized primary source materials from Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Collections span disciplines from the humanities and social sciences to STEM fields, with a commitment to capturing voices and perspectives from around the globe.
