Individual Research

Students who have an interest in doing an in-depth study of a particular business topic can select individual research with the approval of a faculty advisor and relevant program manager or program director. Generally, individual research qualifies for one to six semester hours of credit; most studies are three semester hours.

Approval is obtained by completing a project proposal form, available online. A student works with a faculty member to agree on a topic and a project proposal. The faculty advisor and the relevant program manager or program director review and approve the proposal prior to registration. The student is expected to maintain close contact with the faculty member who will provide guidance and evaluation. Individual research projects are to be completed within one term.
